Will I have a writer profile on your website?

Our ‘Meet Our Writers’ section currently includes our highest-rated writers. If your feedback rating is consistently positive, we will invite you to be a featured writer.

What type of projects do you offer?

We offer many different types of projects, including blog posts and articles, website pages, press releases, product descriptions, email newsletters, and white papers.

Can I specialize in a writing category?

You can choose from 18 industry-based writing categories.

How do I change my writing category?

If you want to change your writing category to optimize the projects you receive, you can do so by changing your Account settings.

What is the word count on projects?

Word counts range from 500 to 3000 words across project types.

Project Assignments and Deadlines

How are projects assigned?

Projects are assigned to writers based on several criteria, including their specializations, feedback ratings, and claim rate.

How do I get more projects?

Both claim rate and client feedback ratings affect how projects are assigned. If a client consistently rates you positively or requests to work with you, we will prioritize you as a favored writer for them.

How much time do I have to finish a project once I claim?

You have 3 business days to submit content. A client may ask for content to be expedited, but you can turn down expedited projects if you cannot complete them on the agreed-upon date.

What should I do if I cannot finish a project?

If you cannot complete a project, please reach out to our support team ASAP — using the chatbot in the bottom left of your dashboard — since we will need to inform the client and reassign the project.

How many revisions can a client request?

Clients can request as many revisions as they require.

How long can revisions take, if requested?

Writers are allocated two business days per revision.

What do I do if I need an extension?

If you cannot meet the submission deadline, please contact your client through the in-app messenger to request an extension. Only clients can extend projects, and the length of time varies. If you have trouble communicating with your client, please reach out to our support team using the chatbot in the bottom left of your dashboard.

How do I contact my client?

If you have a question for your client please message your client directly through the in-app messenger.

There’s an issue with my project, and the client is unresponsive. What should I do?

I received negative feedback from a client. What should I do?

If you receive an email indicating a client gave you negative feedback, you should check out our blog post “How to Write an Awesome Blog Post: 11 Pro Tips” to help you craft content that your clients will love. If you feel you were unfairly rated, please reach out to our support team using the chatbot in the bottom left of your dashboard.

What is the difference between Managed Service and Self-Service?

Self-Service clients are the ones you communicate directly with—their names will show up (i.e., “Jane Smith”) along with their brand name. These clients create projects themselves directly on the platform and answer any questions about the project.

Managed Service clients are managed exclusively by the team—we manage their projects and all writer communication from start to finish. The client info will appear with the name “Composely Team (Managed Service)” and the brand name. This is why you’ll often see the phrase “the client has requested” when working on Managed Service projects.

Account Restrictions

Why did you suspend my account?

Your account could be suspended if you failed to submit content on time. We employ warnings to maintain client satisfaction, which ensures a steady flow of work for our writers. If you accumulate two warnings, your account will be suspended, and you won’t be able to claim new projects until the suspension period indicated in your dashboard ends.

Getting Paid

How do I receive payment?

All writer payments are sent through PayPal. To ensure your payment goes through, please register with an email attached to your PayPal account. Your name and last name must also match with your PayPal account.

When do I receive payment?

Your balance is paid once a month, on the 7th of the month, for all projects completed the previous calendar month. For example, on August 7th, you will receive payment for all projects completed from July 1st – July 31st.

How much does collect from each project?

Currently, our rate varies across projects. We are adding more features to our marketplace, and writers will have more control over their individual rates and earnings in the future. Stay tuned for updates. app dashboard
